Learn how Allison Willis Holley, Senior Managing Director of Schools at KIPP NYC Public Charter Schools, launched Possip in her network
Allison followed four steps for bringing her team on board:
- Create a roll-out plan - a reusable template is below!
- Encourage each school to assign a report reading team of 2 to 3 people.
- Block off time on calendars to read the first set of reports together as a network.
- Share best practices and goals.
Transcript: “I was rolling it out across 18 schools and each one of those schools, I asked them to create a Possip team. So there was a Possip point person and then they sent me all the different admin that they wanted to have access to Possip. So it was about 100 people I was trying to get knowledgeable and logging in within a short period of time.
So after our first Pulse Check, we had a call with at least one person from every school to make sure that someone knew how to access the tool and we all logged in together. We all logged on at the same time.
We were able to remove some obstacles right away, and then talked about best practices. They surfaced a lot of questions for Possip, specifically around hot comments."
